Despite its small size, it offers great interconnection flexibility, including USB audio and Bluetooth pairing for mobile phones. MiniMixer is designed for integrated studios where the announcer and operator work in the same room. It’s also ideal for cases where the host operates the console themselves.
Inputs
Microphones
- Three 100 mm faders control 4 dynamic microphones.
- Fader #3 handles the MIC-3 and MIC-4 inputs.
- An internal compressor acts on the microphone inputs to compensate for level differences between different voices.
Lines
- Two stereo line inputs:
- One analog (TRS).
- One digital via USB port, allowing direct connection to a computer.
Phone Lines
- Handles up to two lines:
- One conventional land line (POTS) (2-wire).
- One mobile phone paired via Bluetooth.
- Line management is simple, with multiple automated functions.
Monitoring and CUE
- Up to 4 headphones can be connected on the rear panel.
- If using headphones with their own volume control, a headphone distribution amplifier can be avoided.
- Tally Light: when the on-air light is connected, headphone output #1 becomes a monitor output, muting when microphones are on-air to prevent feedback.
- CUE/Pre-listen: allows communication with lines and monitoring signals before putting them on-air.
- Integrated talkback microphone for private communication with each phone line or headphones.
Outputs
- Generates two mixes:
- Program (PGM): sent to the PGM outputs and to USB (for streaming).
- Microphone output: allows recording the microphone mix while the console is on-air.
- Insert: insertion point for connecting an external processor to the PGM signal sent via USB.
