File Manager Operation
This section corresponds to the File Manager module (discontinued in Audicom Black and replaced by Media Manager). It is maintained for operational compatibility and for users in transition.
Expanded Mode
- When you press the red arrow, a second window appears to the right of the module (similar to the main one).
- It is used to move or copy files between folders, among other functions.
- Clicking on a file changes the active window, indicated by the green arrow.
- The playback buttons act on the file selected in the active window.

5
Copy
Drag while holding Ctrl: you’ll see a (+) sign indicating copy.
autoDB Folders
- If moving/copying music to an autoDB folder:
a) If the file was not registered, it gets added automatically.
b) If it was already registered, all info remains except “Genre”, which takes the new folder’s name. - From an autoDB → non-autoDB folder: the Database remains unchanged.
- The autoDB logic applies only during move/copy; it doesn’t modify info afterward.
Renaming Material
- Press F2 to open the Artist / Title edit window.
- There’s no need to type the file extension (it remains unchanged).
- Both the filename and the database title will be updated (if the folder is autoDB or if the file was already registered in InfoMusic).
- Recommended filename format: “Artist - Title.ext”.
- The [Abc] button toggles UPPERCASE/lowercase.
- “Radio Buenos Aires.mp3” → Empty Artist field; Title “Radio Buenos Aires”. Using F2: Artist “Promocional”; becomes “Promocional - Radio Buenos Aires.mp3”.
- “05 - Lucho Gonzalez - Centro al corazón.mp3” → Artist “05 - Lucho Gonzalez”; Title “Centro al corazón”. Adjust with F2.
- “JORGE FANDERMOLE” → [Abc] → “Jorge Fandermole”.
Delete Files
- Right-click on the file → Delete → confirm.
- If it was in the Database, it will also be removed there.
- Supports multiple deletions with prior selection.
- Files are deleted directly (they do not go to the Recycle Bin).
- Do not delete registered media from Windows: if you do, you will need to clean them up manually in the Database using InfoMusic.
Search Files [F3]
- F3 (or right-click → Search) opens the criteria dialog:
- Search: string for filename (not database title).
- Exhaustive mode: if disabled, searches only for files that start with the string.
- Exclude: words to exclude.
- Duration longer than [s] / shorter than [s].
