Step-by-step procedure for receiving or placing a call on the console
1

Identify the incoming call

When receiving a call, the HOLD button flashes at the ring rate, regardless of the position of the PHONE/LINE IN button.
2

Verify channel in CUE

Ensure PGM/CUE is in the CUE position (released) before answering the line.
If PGM/CUE is in PGM when answering, the call is added directly to the output mix, with the level set by the LEVEL knob.
3

Select input

The PHONE/LINE IN button must be in the PHONE position (released) to listen to the phone line audio and for the line to receive the mix-minus return.
4

Answer the call

Press HOLD. The caller will hear the PGM signal as the mix-minus return.
5

Adjust headphone level

Adjust with the line’s LEVEL knob.
The overall CUE MONITOR level adjustment also affects this.
6

Speak privately

Press the corresponding microphone TALK button.
While held down, the caller stops hearing the program mix-minus and hears only the operator.
When released, the line returns to hearing the program signal.
7

Monitor without program

In the CUE MONITOR section, the PGM button allows you to remove program audio from the headphones and listen only to the phone line.
8

Put on-air

Press PGM/CUE.
The level in the mix is adjusted with the LEVEL knob.
The caller will be able to converse with the four active microphones on the console.
9

Hold the line

To take the call off-air and put it on hold:
  • Turn the LEVEL knob to zero.
  • Press CUE/PGM to return to CUE.
The line is held, listening to the program signal.
10

End the call

Press HOLD to hang up and release the line.
